One platform for three critical signal applications
GE’s SapphireT48 Information Processing System (IPS) serves as a single platform for train description, modular control and SpadAlert signal data transmission systems. An 8U standalone, EMC-compliant sub-rack, the Sapphire IPS has 48 serial channels that are configurable as RS232, RS422 or V23 Modem interfaces. A compact unit, the platform will fit into small spaces, including the backs of panels.
