“I absolutely love building locomotives.”
At GE Transportation we love building them… and just seeing them in hauling freight across the land! Scott Slawson, a welder who works on locomotive platforms at GE’s Erie plant, summed it up for the entire team in the newest GE Works television ad. The 60-seconed spot begins airing nationally in the U.S. on Wednesday, March 28.
The ad features Transportation employees at work in Erie, then follows them to a scenic location where they experience the thrill of standing next to the tracks as GE locomotives thunder by.
"Our employees star in the most recent GE Works ad and they are the stars of our business," said Lorenzo Simonelli, President and CEO of GE Transportation. "They make all the difference and help shape the future of the transportation industry."
In addition to the TV ad, employees tell their own individual stories in a series of vignettes. Employees share their perspectives on what’s important to them in their jobs, and why they take pride in what they do.
“Locomotives s are big when you’re little…and they’re big when you’re big, says Grove City’s John Potkanowicz in a vignette. “I build locomotive engines. How cool is that?”
