GE unveiled its PowerHaul Series PH37ACai Locomotive at InnoTrans 2012 in Berlin. Hosted every two years, InnoTrans is the world’s largest rail exhibition and attracts more than 100,000 attendees and approximately 2,500 exhibitors worldwide. The PH37ACai model is featured at Track G4/10, where attendees can tour and learn more about how GE Transportation’s leading technology and innovative rail and signaling solutions address the world’s toughest rail challenges.
The PowerHaul PH37ACai is continental Europe’s newest cross-border locomotive and is GE Transportation’s most technologically advanced, fuel-efficient and low-emissions diesel-electric locomotive to date. It meets the latest TSI standards and the demanding interoperability requirements for Europe and other regions that adopt such standards.
“Our PowerHaul locomotive has been delivering fuel efficiency while lowering emissions for several years now,” said Rob McKeel, General Manager of GE’s Locomotive business. “Now our European version can provide cross-border operations and meet the requirements of one of the most stringent standards in the world.”
