GE Transportation’s legal team held their “Raising the Bar” community service day in support of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.
GE Transportation’s legal team in Chicago held their first community service day, “Raising the Bar,” supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana.
The legal team volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House near University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital. Ronald McDonald House provides a home-away-from-home for families needing a place to stay while their children are undergoing treatment for serious illness or injuries.
Team members served as ‘Cookies from the Heart’ volunteers by purchasing ingredients and baking cookies and brownies for the families in Ronald McDonald House’s full service kitchen. Inspirational words of encouragement were included in each cookie bag.
The purpose of the outing was to unite the legal team members and reaffirm our commitment to giving back to the communities in which we conduct business. Team members at other GE Transportation sites were also encouraged to participate in community service projects and activities on this day of giving back.
