Remote Announcement Display (RAD) from GE – Transportation detects hot box and hot brake conditions and transmits measured data and alarms to remote displays for appropriate action. RAD is a client-server based system; the server handles data storage, communication with client systems, control of railway equipment and communication with outside equipment.
