The PROYARD III process control system is designed to automate classification yards, improving car availability, yard productivity and operational safety. It is the third generation of GE’s PROYARD system that operates in nearly every Class I railroad in North America. The system identifies and measures railcars as they enter the yard and automatically routes and tracks them to the appropriate class track.
