CrossGuard uses μwave radar technology and vital electronics to monitor level crossings, below bridges and at tunnel entrances and exits, detecting trapped vehicles or other obstacles in a train’s path. The non-intrusive, stand-alone system maintains a horizontal scan directly above track level, and when a vehicle or other obstacle is detected within the scanned area, transmits an alarm to vital control systems such as level crossing controllers.
