GE Transportation’s Erie team dedicated the entire month of April to fundraisers, events and activities designed to help raise money for the March of Dimes. Teams raised more than $63,000 throughout the month, add a $15,000 corporate donation and the total exceeds $78,000! 

When it comes to helping babies, GE is ALL IN!  GE Transportation’s Erie team dedicated the entire month of April to fundraisers, events and activities designed to help raise money for the March of Dimes. Teams raised more than $63,000 throughout the month, add a $15,000 corporate donation and the total exceeds $78,000! 

Update: Teams raised more than $68,565.88 throughout the month, add a $15,000 corporate donation and the total exceeds $83,565.88!

Supply Chain Auction Corporate Olympics

Image removed.On April 22, the IT, Finance and HR teams competed in events like corn hole, Sharpie archery, water pong and a scavenger hunt. IM Program Manager David Poulliott won the 50/50 raffle and promptly donated it back to the March for Babies fundraising.

LEGO contest

This week was filled with nostalgia for many of the Erie Engineers as they got to play with LEGOs for a great cause! Global Technology’s first annual LEGO Challenge Fundraising Event benefit two upcoming charity events, the March of Dimes’ March for Babies and the Junior Achievement’s JA Bowl-A-Thon. Teams spend a week creating LEGO masterpieces. Then, teams across GE Transportation were given the opportunity to vote for the winner, with their wallets. The final winner was “Snappy” the Tier 4 engine.

Walk for Babies: 240 GE walkers braved the fog to walk for a cause

The month’s events culminated with the March for Babies walk on Sunday, May 1. A total of 240 GE team members and their families came together, braving the fog and mist, to participate in the March of Dimes Walk for Babies. View some of the photos here.

Best T-shirt contest winner

Not only did GE Transportation have the most walkers and the highest donations, GE’s T-shirt, designed by Audrey Breski (employee Christine Breski’s daughter) won the best t-shirt contest. Congratulations Audrey!
