This week, GE Transportation participated in GSMA Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona, Spain, showcasing the newly-developed Durathon Battery. The Mobile World Congress is an important annual event in the telecommunications industry, and includes a thought leadership conference, awards ceremony, and the exhibition.
The Durathon Battery, introduced in 2010, represents a tremendous leap forward in mobile power storage. Durathon ranks among the most energy dense batteries available, performs in extreme temperatures, features a life cycle of 20-plus years, and is made entirely of nontoxic, recyclable materials. Mass production of the Durathon Battery is scheduled for late 2011.
